Warped Extra Dimensions and Holography from the Bottom-up

The gauge-gravity correspondence is a deep relation between theories with different spacetime dimensions, which changed our understanding of strong coupling and gravity.
At sub-Planckian energy scales, where physics is described by quantum fields and classical gravity, the correspondence takes place in a curved spacetime with boundary.
It is realized by probing the physics in the bulk from the perspective of the boundary — hence the name “holography”.
In this talk I will present some recent results in this field, all obtained in the framework of effective field theory.
This will include: 1) a few aspects of holography in general background, 2) holography of a broken U(1) symmetry, 3) holography of a class of scalar-gravity models.
If time permits, I will discuss a related model of non-particle dark matter.
