1 – Title: Basics of Hot Big Bang Cosmology
Abstract:
Cosmology, as one of the most ancient disciplines in history has evolved from observations to quantitative measurement of parameters in order to provide understanding to the evolution of the universe. Cosmology is based upon the determination of cosmological parameters from measurement of physical processes of astronomical objects. During the last century, it has experienced a shift from a qualitative to quantitative discipline becoming one of the greatest achievements of the century.
In this seminar, I will describe the basics of Hot Big Bang cosmology including the cosmological parameters, their physical meaning and the techniques used to determine them.

2 – Título: Energias eólica e solar: Um panorama sobre suas histórias e funcionamento.
Resumo:
As energias eólica e solar atualmente são tidas como opções sustentáveis para geração de energia elétrica. Presentes há muito tempo na humanidade, mas que tiveram seu aperfeiçoamento a partir de necessidades que surgiram ao longo do desenvolvimento da humanidade, principalmente no século XX. Entender os princípios básicos por trás do funcionamento dessas fontes de energia nos faz refletir sobre conceitos básicos da física.
