I will illustrate how cavity optomechanics is helping us addressing deep questions on our understanding of the foundations of quantum theory, from
non-equilibrium quantum dynamics to the collapse of the wave-function. Towards the end of my talk, I will propose an optomechanical pathway for the
exploration of the potential quantum nature of gravity.
